The hotel is situated in a very special location in the heart of Luxor just 1.5 km from the temple of Luxor and 10 km from Luxor international airport. It is located next to the corniche that runs along the river Nile, just a 10-minute walk from the actual river itself and 2 minutes from Khaled Ibn El Walid street.

1. The self-park car park was big but easy to access from the road system and into the hotel. Valet parking looked very busy and at times overwhelmed & chaotic. The monorail was always busy, but the short distances between the Luxor & its sisters meant that it was not really necessary. We visited the Titanic exhibit which was excellent.
2. For all Luxor hotel guests: the first hour in self-parking is free! Self parking costs $5 per hour for the first 4 hours, and $8 per hour every hour there after. Valet parking at Luxor costs $8 per hour for the first 4 hours, and $13 per hour for every hour after. You can avoid parking by booking a Luxor Hotel & Casino shuttle today.
3. Parking is free at all the hotels, whether you have a room there or not. Personally I always use the valet service as most of the parking garages are some distance away from the main reception/casino area. The valet service is also free, you just need to tip the guys who bring your car out for you (a couple of dollars is fine).
